1. The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic as it is the Challenge Cup logo for that year it assures the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.
2. It is a low resolution image, and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit goods.
3. The logo is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the owner of the logo.
4. It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image.
